(don't?) be afraid

My whole life I've been telling myself "don't be afraid".

And it's only now that I'm realizing how stupid that is. Don't be afraid. Like saying "don't move when out of the way when someone tries to punch you in the face" or "don't flintch at the heat of a fire" or "don't blink". Don't be human. 

Well, you can't. I can't.

I'm afraid and you're afraid and we're all always going to be afraid, because that;s the point. Being afraid sets you in motion. Maybe back maybe forwards but you're moving, and that's what counts. Because as Rosa Luxemburg said, and is oh so right, those who do not move do not notice their chains.

What I should be telling myself is "be afraid but do it anyway"

πόσο εύκολο είνα να ανδείξεις την κίνηση μέσα από μία φωτογραφία?

μπορεί το τρισδιάστατο να αποτυπωθεί με σαφήνεια στις 2 διαστάσεις?

προσωπικά θεωρώ πως όχι. 

γι'αυτό και η φαντασία στον χορό παίζει τόσο μεγάλο ρόλο, ακόμη και στο "διάβασμα" μιας φωτογραφίας.

γιατί χωρίς φαντασία, η φωτογραφία είναι απλά ένα στιγμιότυπο. ενώ αν κοιτάξεις πίσω από την εικόνα, θα δεις μια ολοκληρη ιστορία να χορεύει μπροστά σου...

Υπάρχουν δύο είδη μοναξιάς, η πραγματική κι αυτή που φτιάχνουμε μόνοι μας.
Η πραγματική μοναξιά είναι όταν κανείς δεν σ'αγαπάει.
Κι αυτή που φτιάχνουμε μόνοι μας είναι όταν υπάρχουν άνθρωποι που σ'αγαπούν τριγύρω αλλά εσύ δεν το βλέπεις.

Μερικές φορές είναι πιο εύκολο να βρεις κάποιον να σ'αγαπήσει απ'το να συνειδητοποιήσεις ότι αυτός ο κάποιος, ήδη υπάρχει.
